Magic Bookmark: A Nonintrusive Electronic System for Functionalizing Physical Books

The use of physical paper is often preferred due to its unique properties that improve various aspects reading. However, digital media and information are more engaging, diverse, up date, thereby challenging the existence in our everyday life. By combining two types a seamless way, interactivity multimedia content can complement reading experience, maintaining feel books. current state art addressing this application negatively impacts experience does not consider manufacturability sustainability proposed solutions. Herein, Magic Bookmark, technical solution for automatically recognizing open page book, provide augmentation without changing user's behavior significantly introduced. Three alternative solutions implemented, with degrees ease use, at scale, reliability data optimal realization found be reflective optical readout array, which routes implementation may allow blending graphical functional augmented book proposed.
